Active and implemented projects

The main objective is to establish and increase the capacity of an innovation incubator within SROs, with a special focus on supporting the development of startup teams and the commercialization of their innovative ideas. The project aims to foster multidisciplinary cooperation and networking between members of academia, startup teams, and industry, with the aim of improving the innovation ecosystem in the region.

The project “STARTUP QUEST: Going Global” aims to enable the participation of up to 10 startups from Serbia, with a special focus on supporting startups from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, at important international conferences and fairs.

The goal of the program is to help early-stage startups develop their innovative ideas and become sustainable and successful in the long term, creating the foundations for innovative and stable businesses that will contribute to the development of technological entrepreneurship and strengthening the business scene in our region.

The objective of the 9^thForum of Advanced Technologies – TechMomentum project is to continue to grow and expand its influence as one of the leading events in the region dedicated to technological innovations. That is why the ninth edition of the Forum, entitled

“TechMomentum”, will be held on June 11 and 12, 2025 at the Science and Technology Park Niš, bringing together leading experts, C-level management in companies, academia, and decision-makers from the country and abroad.

The Forum provides participants with the opportunity to connect through panels, lectures, workshops, startup pitch sessions and B2B meetings, with the implementation of the program in 10 halls and zones, which allows for comprehensive coverage of various thematic blocks. At the event itself, the focus will be on three key fields:

• Artificial Intelligence
• BioTech (Bioengineering)
• Hardware Technologies (Green Technologies)

In addition, the Forum of Advanced Technologies represents a key platform for international networking and cooperation, bringing together participants from different countries. Special attention is paid to the empowerment of women in the IT sector, through panel discussions and workshops that contribute to reducing gender stereotypes and promoting gender equality.

The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) – S4AI will be the co-organizer of the 9^thForum of Advanced Technologies, ensuring the presence of international experts and insight into the latest technological trends. Participation in the Forum is free, and at a certain point a limited series of special registration fees will be available that bring reserved seats in the hall, access to exclusive networking events and other surprises.

The event organizers are the Science and Technology Park Niš, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, the City of Niš, the Startup Center Niš and RISC Zubin Potok. The organization of the 9^thForum of Advanced Technologies – TechMomentum was supported by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation through the Program for the Promotion and Popularization of Innovations in the Republic of Serbia. The project aims to position Serbia as a global center for innovation and startups, providing the resources and support needed for their growth. Activities such as workshops, panel discussions, and networking events will enable the connection of key players in the industry, including professionals, investors, and companies, thus encouraging the development of the IT sector.

We expect that the realization of the project will result in the strengthening of Serbia’s international position in the world of innovation, the creation of new business opportunities, as well as the connection of startups with investors and clients. In addition, project participants will have the opportunity to increase their visibility and reputation, thus contributing to the growth of the innovation and startup ecosystem in Serbia.

The project is aimed at a wide range of participants, including technology and business experts, startups, innovative companies, investment funds, academia, government and regulatory authorities, students, researchers, international organizations, the media, and the general public, with the aim of creating synergy and encouraging innovation. The involvement of all relevant stakeholders, from Government representatives to regional startup centers, will ensure the creation of a support network that will enable startups to develop and succeed on a global scale.

Through this project, Serbia will become a recognizable destination for innovation, attracting talent and investments, and creating conditions for the growth and development of the startup ecosystem, thereby contributing to economic development and innovation on a global level.

The Science and Technology Park Niš is the key organization for the support and development of innovations in southern and eastern Serbia. With more than 50 member companies and almost 600 predominantly young people working from the Park, STP Niš has become the center of events for the innovative community. STP Niš has established significant cooperation with all student organizations, the University of Niš, and the wider community. In addition to traditional and modern media for promotion and networking, STP Niš launched the “Startup Breakfast” podcast with over 30 episodes, further confirming its role as an incubator of creativity and innovation. The planned laboratory for audio and video production will be available to all members, partners, and the wider community; thus, STP Niš will continue to strengthen its role as a place for creating quality content and encouraging cooperation and innovation.

The goal of the City&Me project is to create an interactive and sustainable digital platform that will make cities in the Western Balkans smarter and more connected with their citizens. The platform encourages activism and citizen participation in solving local problems and promotes sustainable activities such as recycling and greening. With City&Me, citizens will be able to influence decisions in their community, participate in activities for the benefit of the environment, and use digital services to improve everyday life. In addition, the platform provides cities and municipalities with the means to communicate more effectively with citizens and encourage civic initiatives. On the basis of a feasibility study, the Science and Technology Park Niš will develop and implement an educational program for building the capacity of local stakeholders participating in the development of the local innovation ecosystem in four (4) cities/municipalities in North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the city chosen for the implementation of the City&Me solution, JustStart and the Science and Technology Park Niš will develop a local framework together with a local partner and establish a network with local stakeholders for the implementation of City&Me services through a co-creation process.

The consortium’s vision is a Serbia where healthcare is personalized and digitalized, while industry is active and developed on the basis of strong infrastructure and technology.
The development of an ecosystem in which ethical principles are respected with the existence of agile legislation that enables successful business and the implementation of innovations is one of the primary goals of the consortium. By meeting that goal, the entire society will use products and innovations and develop confidence in a functioning system.

The goal of the Program is to establish the operation and raise the capacity of regional innovation startup centers, including startup centers, incubators, Smart City centers, and similar support organizations. The program develops the competences of startup centers for providing support in a consistent and organized manner, as well as for inclusion in an integrated system of support for innovation, with the aim of achieving self-sustainability for further work and functioning. The program achieves the integration of regional innovation startup centers with science and technology parks, with the aim of developing an innovative community at the local level, and with the function of systemic development of innovation as well as improvement of the innovation ecosystem on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The project aims to encourage multidisciplinary cooperation and networking between members of academia, startup teams, and industry, with the aim of improving the innovation ecosystem in the region.

The project aims to encourage multidisciplinary cooperation and networking between members of academia, startup teams, and industry, with the aim of improving the innovation ecosystem in the region.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the capacity of newly founded companies (startups) via the the Launcher acceleration program through training and support from experts in the respective fields. Launcher implies a three-month program of intensive mentoring and financial support for the realization of innovative growth-oriented startup ideas in the early stages of development.
