135 Startup Teams Applied for the Launcher Program

The public call for the new cycle of the Launcher program has been completed, and this year a total of 135 applications were received from startup teams from Serbia. In the upcoming period, the submitted applications will be evaluated, after which the teams that will continue to the first phase of the program will be announced.

This level of interest confirms that early-stage teams have a strong need for programs that provide practical support in testing ideas, understanding the market, and developing the first sustainable business solutions.

During the program, selected teams will go through the key steps of startup development — from defining the problem and validating the solution to developing a business model and preparing for market entry. The program is based on the Running Lean methodology, which enables teams to systematically test their ideas, identify key risks, and adapt their solutions based on user feedback.

The selected 20 teams will enter Phase 1, where, through educational modules, assignments, and work with mentors, they will further develop their ideas and prepare for the Demo Day. On the Demo Day, an expert committee will select the teams that will continue to Phase 2, based on the teams’ progress, quality of work, and preliminary project plan. The selected 5 teams will have the opportunity to further develop their startup projects through more intensive work, mentoring, and expert support, as well as to secure RSD 1,200,000 intended for the development and validation of their solutions and RSD 200,000 for participation in an international conference.

*The Launcher program is implemented by the Science and Technology Park Niš within the Serbian European Digital Innovation Hub on AI – S4AI_HUB project, co-financed by the European Commission – DG Connect, with the support of the City of Niš and the company Fazi.
