Open Day at STP Niš

The Science and Technology Park Niš is organizing an Open Day for the first time this year, which will be held on May 17, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. as part of this year’s festival “Nauk nije bauk”. This event will provide a chance for many enthusiasts interested in advanced technologies, as well as regular visitors of the aforementioned festival, to get acquainted with STP Niš.

Our members’ offices will be open so that everyone who wants to get to know what the park does better can do it first-hand. All those who aspire to be professionals in the industry and future innovators have a unique opportunity to see details on certain activities of STP Niš member companies from close proximity. And they will be very happy to present their work, to bring visitors closer to the industry they are in, as well as their visions for it.

We believe this will inspire many curious young people; we are waiting for you!

 

How to Acquire a Grant for Innovative Business Ideas – StarTech Opens the Fourth Cycle of Awarding Grants

Once again, NALED is launching the StarTech program of financial and mentoring support for startups, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises this year. The program includes support of up to 50,000 dollars for about 15 companies, as well as mentoring support for the development and marketing of innovative products and services. Consulting and support will be available to companies for securing additional investments or entering foreign markets, among other things, through participation in international fairs. The contest will be open from April 15 to May 31, 2024.

Discussion on the 8th Forum of Advanced Technologies at the Kopaonik Business Forum

As part of this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum, which will be held from March 3 to 6, a panel discussion will be organized on the topic Innovation ecosystem and smart specialization as factors of regional competitiveness, which will be moderated by the director of the Science and Technology Park Niš, Milan Ranđelović, PhD.

The goal of the panel is to initiate a discussion on how innovation and smart specialization contribute to the creation of a more competitive business environment, as well as the announcement of the 8th Forum of Advanced Technologies organized by the Science and Technology Park Niš and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which is coming up as soon as June this year. The participants will talk about the way the Forum will transform the economy and regional development, and at the same time there will be more talk about the available tools, resources, and opportunities for cooperation between academia, business entities, and government institutions, which will contribute to the improvement of innovation capacities and the support of entrepreneurial spirit in the region.

The panel discussion participants will be Stefan Badža, from the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of RS, Vladan Atanasijević, Director of Comtrade, Predrag Nikolić from the Center for Digital Transformation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Vladimir Radovanović from the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, and Professor Dr. Boban Stojanović from the Faculty of Economics in Niš.

 

Innovation Ecosystem and Smart Specialization as a Driver of Regional Competitiveness – one of the Topics at the Kopaonik Business Forum

At the Kopaonik Business Forum (KBF), a special event was held that attracted the attention of leading experts and innovators from the region – the 8th Forum of Advanced Technologies, with a focus on the “Innovation Ecosystem and Smart Specialization as a Driver of Regional Competitiveness”. Moderation of the event was entrusted to Milan Ranđelović, PhD, managing director of STP Niš, who successfully led a dynamic discussion on the role of science and technology parks in regional development.

Relying on already existing potentials, the panelists emphasized that the key role is played by science and technology parks, which represent the support for regional development; one of their goals is to connect the potentials of the academic sector, industry and talented individuals. Their synergy creates activities, as well as park programs that are used in the most efficient way to support the development of regional innovation startup centers and incubators.

Stefan Badža from the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the RS, Vladimir Radovanović from the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Vladan Atanasijević from the ComeTrade company, Predrag Nikolić from the Center for Digital Transformation and Boban Stojanović from the Faculty of Economics in Niš shared their opinions and views at the panel. The talks focused on the importance of education and a systemic approach to challenges in regional development, and on strengthening cooperation between faculties, institutes, and the economy; one of the goals set will be the creation of an accessible network of researchers and applicable results, which will encourage the development of innovative solutions.

This event was an introduction to and announcement of the upcoming 8th Forum of Advanced Technologies, scheduled for June this year in the Science and Technology Park Niš.

The Kopaonik Business Forum 2024 takes place from March 3 to 6 and has “New Global Context: Challenges of an Uncertain Future” as its central theme. The event attracts over a thousand participants annually, including heads of state, prime ministers, ministers, senior representatives of regulatory bodies, international financial institutions, distinguished academics, diplomats, business practitioners, and the media. Organized by the Serbian Association of Economists, the KBF strives to promote cooperation between relevant actors and to offer an interactive platform for the exchange of opinions and constructive debate.

The 7th Advanced Technologies Forum

This December 21, the Science and Technology Park Niš will host the 7th Advanced Technologies Forum, an event that brings together experts from the IT industry and entrepreneurship world. Panelists will lead discussions on the key transformations shaping these sectors through various panels, workshops, and lectures. The partners of this year’s event, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia – RPK Niš, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the City of Niš, as well as the National Employment Service, the Society of Economists, and the NICat cluster, will contribute to the dynamic program of the forum. The focus of this meeting will be on innovative solutions and strategies that can encourage the development of the innovation ecosystem, with a special emphasis on the practical aspects of the entrepreneurial spirit in the digital age.
