The Director of the Science and Technology Park Niš visited Moscow to participate in the international conference Startup Village 2026, one of the most important events dedicated to innovation, startups and technology entrepreneurship in Eurasia.
During the conference, a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation was held between the Skolkovo Foundation, one of the most important innovation centres and technology hubs in Russia, and the Science and Technology Park Niš. This opened new opportunities for more intensive international cooperation, knowledge exchange and stronger connections between the innovation ecosystems of Serbia and Russia.
This cooperation represents an important step towards strengthening the international position of the Serbian innovation ecosystem and creates new opportunities for startups, technology companies and innovative teams from Serbia. Through the partnership with one of the most recognisable innovation centres in the region, domestic startups will gain easier access to global markets, mentors, investors and industrial partners.
As part of the conference, the Director of STP Niš also took part in an international session dedicated to the role of accelerators in the development of global startup ecosystems. He spoke about the importance of international cooperation and the connection of innovation ecosystems at a time when startups and technology companies operate globally from the very beginning. On this occasion, it was emphasised that, in addition to technology, startups need access to markets, investors, industrial partners and reliable support networks. This is why partnerships between organisations such as the Skolkovo Foundation and the Science and Technology Park Niš are of particular importance for their further development and internationalisation.
The participation of STP Niš at Startup Village 2026 and the signing of the memorandum with the Skolkovo Foundation represent another step towards stronger international positioning of the domestic innovation ecosystem and the creation of new opportunities for startups and technology companies from Serbia.
