This recognition confirms the leading role of STP Niš in the development of the innovation ecosystem not only in Serbia, but also in the entire region. As the chairman of the Alliance, STP Niš will be the focal point for coordinating activities, creating joint programs, and connecting innovation communities from different countries of Southeast Europe.
The Forum in Larissa brought together representatives of numerous technology parks, entrepreneurial centers, and digital innovation hubs with the aim of strengthening cross-border cooperation and defining common steps in areas such as cybersecurity, agro-innovation, logistics, as well as support for startups and small businesses.
At the event, two startups from the STP Niš community introduced themselves to the participants within the expo setting – YSource Solution with its EyeStock application and Velitron Solutions; programs that STP Niš offers to its members were also presented, while in the final part, the new framework of cooperation of the Alliance and its importance for startups and innovation organizations in the region were presented.
During the session of the General Assembly of the Alliance, priorities were adopted that will form the basis of the new development strategy, including:
• improving the mobility of startups and their inclusion in international programs,
• strengthening cooperation with investors and organizing joint events,
• participation of members in European initiatives and projects,
• defining the governance model and legal status of the Alliance.
During 2026, when STP Niš will take over the presidency, the focus will be on strengthening cooperation among members, developing joint programs, and internationalizing innovation activities. The plan is also to connect startups, researchers, and companies from the region through joint programs, mentoring support, and events with investors, as well as creating a joint calendar of conferences and workshops. In parallel, work will also be done to improve the management structure and legal registration options of the Alliance, which will ensure its long-term stability and sustainability.
By chairing the Alliance in 2026, STP Niš will further strengthen Serbia’s position as a key factor in the development of regional cooperation and innovation in Southeast Europe.
