Innovation for a Sustainable Future: the Guide to Green Technologies Presented
As part of the “Venture an Idea” project, which the Digital Serbia Initiative conducts jointly with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a free guide “Green, Sustainable Technologies and Innovations” was created, which is intended for everyone who is interested in sustainability, ecology, and technological innovations. The guide was designed with the aim of supporting companies, organizations, and individuals in adopting innovative technologies that contribute to the preservation of our planet.
This free guide was created in cooperation with the Science and Technology Park Niš and the Faculty of Occupational Safety in Niš, with the aim of providing readers with basic knowledge, inspiration, and practical guidelines, in order to help them understand what this field encompasses, actively engage in sustainable development and contribute to building a better future for all.
“Such initiatives and events are an extraordinary opportunity for us, researchers and authors, to interact with a wider audience and further communicate our views on new green technologies. I sincerely hope that the spectators shared our enthusiasm and left the event full of energy to further explore the many possibilities that sustainable technologies constantly bring”, said Prof. Srđan Glišović, PhD, one of the authors of the Guide for Green, Sustainable Technologies and Innovations.
“In Serbia, the largest number of startup companies and teams operate in the field of information and communication technologies. Digitization of processes enables rapid product development and provides many opportunities to create innovative solutions based on ICT. However, on a global scale, many successful startups come not only from the IT sector, but also from the fields of biotechnology, mobility, sustainable and green technologies. Serbia already has institutions, researchers, and companies in these sectors, and by focusing on the development of an innovation ecosystem directed towards green and sustainable technologies, we can achieve diversification and increase the number of startup projects in these fields. Our guide is a step towards the popularization of innovative entrepreneurship and opportunities in these sectors, with a special emphasis on green and sustainable technologies”, said Milan Ranđelović, PhD, managing director of the Science and Technology Park Niš.
“The aim of this guide is to understand the importance of green technologies and the benefits they bring, encouraging multidisciplinarity and interaction between different sectors, including science, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship. This interdisciplinary collaboration opens the door to innovative solutions that combine technology, ecology, and social responsibility”, said Tadej Kurepa, program director of the “Venture an Idea” project.
The “Green, Sustainable Technologies and Innovations” guide is free and available to everyone who wants to contribute to the preservation of the environment and the creation of a sustainable future.
